At Heroyam we donate a 100% of our profit to good causes in Ukraine. This way our flex workers do not only work for their own benefit but also for the benefit of all of Ukraine. In our memorandum and articles of association we have stated that Heroyam needs to donate 100% of its profits. We are therefore not allowed to pay out dividends to Heroyam’s owners. Ultimately, our ambition is to set up an independent foundation and to donate all profits to it. With these profits we can give back to society.
Social entrepreneurship is central and forms the base of Heroyam

The process of donating
- Colleagues and flex workers can submit charities.
- We check if the charities are in line with our set requirements for donations.
- We make a shortlist of 5 charities.
- Each quarter we send a survey to all active flex workers and colleagues to vote on a charity.
- We donate our profit to the charity with the most votes quarterly.
Our previous donation went to ‘Children of Heroes’ for the help of orphans in Ukraine

How it all started
Heroyam was founded in the beginning of 2022 by 3 Dutch friends: Bart, Hans & Ivo. The goal was to help people from Ukraine who came to the Netherlands to seek refuge find a job. During this period the Dutch government allowed Ukrainian refugees to work in the Netherlands without a work permit. This allowed Heroyam to quickly find jobs for Ukrainian refugees here. Heroyam has since grown into a fully-fledged and certified employment agency. But the core mission is still the same: Helping all people find a job in human and social way.

Visit our office
Heroyam is located in the medieval city centre of Zwolle in The Netherlands. Our office is situated inside the “Sassenpoort”. The Sassenpoort is a medieval gate which was built in the late 14th and early 15th centuries as part of the city defenses. Zwolle is about a one-hour train ride away from Amsterdam and Utrecht.

Heroyam
Heroyam was founded in the beginning of 2022 to help Ukrainian refugees coming to The Netherlands find a job. Over the past few months Heroyam has helped over 75 people who fled Ukraine find a job in The Netherlands. By doing so Heroyam’s mission was born: Helping people find work in a human way. At Heroyam we donate 100% of our profits to good causes in Ukraine. This way our flex workers do not only work for their own benefit but also for the benefit of all of Ukraine.
