Maintenance technician

Are you that handy mechanic with two right hands? Do you enjoy going out on your own and tinkering with large equipment such as shovels, cranes and terminal tractors? You will join a technical team that is responsible for the maintenance, repairs and inspections of machines at various locations in the region (Alkmaar, Vijfhuizen and Middenmeer). With your own service van, full of tools, you drive from place to place and ensure that everything runs smoothly again.

• A good salary according to the collective labor agreement for professional goods transport, between €2,500 and €3,859 gross per month, depending on your experience and education.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on machines such as shovels, cranes and tractors.
• Detect and solve faults, especially in hydraulic systems.
• Read electrical diagrams and apply them during repairs.
• Address problems with air conditioning and electrical systems.
• Work safely and ensure that the machines remain safe.
• Advise users and explain how to use the machines.
• Work at different locations with your own service van.

• You have an MBO-3 diploma in (motor) vehicle technology, you have been trained as a first commercial vehicle technician or you have relevant work experience in this field.
• You have a feeling for hydraulics and know how to tackle malfunctions.
• Electrical diagrams? No problem! You know how to read and apply them.
• You think in solutions and always have a positive attitude.
• You have a VCA certificate or are willing to obtain this quickly.
• With a valid driving license B you can independently go on the road with your service bus.
