What are your tasks?

As a Researcher, you will help figure out how chemical substances behave in water and what that means for our health. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Working with colleagues to develop new methods for testing water safety.

  • Studying different chemical substances, mixtures, and materials in the water cycle.

  • Translating scientific findings into clear, practical solutions for the water sector.

  • Helping to decide which water treatments and solutions are most urgent and effective.

  • Sharing research results through presentations and publications, both in the Netherlands and internationally.

  • Collaborating closely with your project team and building relationships with partners.

What we ask

To match the team and the level of research, we are looking for the following profile. Please note: you do not need to check every single box to apply!

  • A university degree (Master's or PhD) in a natural science, like biology, chemistry, or environmental science.

  • Knowledge of substance risk assessment, toxicology, or specific materials like microplastics.

  • A good command of both English and Dutch (freely spoken and written). If you are still learning one of those languages, still feel free to apply.

  • A creative mindset and the ability to turn complex problems into clear research results.

  • An enthusiastic team player who enjoys planning, organizing, and working on a project basis.

  • An interest in sharing results with the world and building a reputation in your field.

  • Experience or interest in the Dutch water sector is a big plus, but international experience is also very welcome!
